You are damning all of humanity because of an adoption agency and a... public photo gallery website?
I really worry about people sometimes.

here's what i was damning:

#1: we over-populate the earth because of
blatant morality and gosh darn it, we are
better than those stupid animals
* rolls eyes *

#2: we domesticate animals because awwwww,
we think they are cute and they will bow to
our whim... and gosh darn it, we are better
than those stupid animals

#3: because the stupid animals are doing what
they are naturally inclinded to do -- mate --
we find it a 'problem' because they are
(supposedly) over-populating and are therefore
starving to death, or possibly gonna be hit
by a car or some other justification for why
we incarcerate the animals instead of admitting
that, gosh darn it, we are better than those
stupid animals.

#4: because of the previous 'problem' we have
now distorted the 'moral' obligation into some
macabre sadism by clipping the animals and
denying them reproduction rights... because???
you guessed it, gosh darn it, we are better
than those stupid animals.

#5: both links are from the same addy... and
in the second link, we find that these people
capture strays or abandoned animals and
assign them a 'date' to which only ONE potential
applicant may take the animal, at the same
time, that date also relinquishes the animal
to be put up for euthenasia...the next day.

the major issue here is the fact that we, as
human beings, are failing to acknowledge our
responsibilities as leeches on this planet...
and arrogant, self-promoted position indeed,
and instead of acknowledging this issue, we
justify these killings as some sort of moral
plight to 'save' them...
i'm not talking about 'saving' them from
euthenasia... i'm talking about 'saving' them
from the gawd-damned lot we gave them when
we controlled the fate of the world with our
domestications and over-population.

that site i linked has an interesting backdrop.
the site carries a notion of 'matter of fact'
speech... but behind that initial 'moral costume'
is a sense of gravity toward time...

how can we be so arrogant as to remotely sense
the importance of life and be so cowardly toward
it??? how can we be so arrogant as to create
a problem with pets, and to see the pets themselves
as the cause of the problem.

how pathetic it is to be human.

it is as if all the guilt that no one sees from

we have no business 'ruling' this planet...
with our morals and our ethics and our fucking
ways of thinking, being, and living...

we simply have no business in anything anymore.
